The Chod Border Patrol had special rights and freedoms from servitude. Throughout the years, many Kings gave them these rights through proclamations. They were given their own seal and answered to no one but the king.
In return, the Chodové people would guard the border from any unwanted people, including gangs, bandits and invading armies. They patrolled areas around Domazlice, called the Chodsko Area.
While patrolling, they kept with them their weapons, cakans, and their trusty watchdogs, the Chodsky Pes.
